Belize Customs Information – Hercules Worldwide
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Your passport
- Non-nationals require a residence permit or work permit
- Inventory list of shipment
- CUSTOMERS PRESENCE REQUIRED FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
- Used household goods and belongings may import duty-free if used & owned for at least one year before shipping.
- All items must arrive in Belize within six months of owners arrival
- Items that are considered new (owned & used for less than one year) are dutiable, and a purchase invoice will be required
- New, duty-free items include: computers, stoves, refrigerators and most sports equipment
- All automobiles are examined by Customs
- Process requires ownership papers
- Duties may apply
- Boats also require import permit (very difficult to obtain for boats made of wood)
